In 1968, the Cincinnati Enquirer began what is now one of the most prestigious honors in our community. Realizing that our wonderful community benefits from so many philanthropic and outstanding women, the paper set out to discover and recognize the women in the greater Cincinnati community who worked tirelessly to improve the lives of their fellow citizens.

Hence The Enquirer Women of the Year award was born. Since then more than 500 outstanding women have been selected from hundreds of nominations each year and awarded this coveted honor.

We are excited to continue this tradition for the 56th year and look forward to sharing the stories of ten new honorees with you.
